SIMATIC ET 200S -
The I/O system with the comprehensive module spectrum

| NEW: SIMATIC ET 200S PN CPU |
The IM151-8 PN/DP CPU has a PROFINET communication interface (with 3 ports for line structure and PG function) on-board and can optionally be expanded with a PROFIBUS-DP master module. The IM151-8 PN/DP CPU is based on the S7-300 CPU 314 and supports the real-time features RT and IRT (isochronous real-time). IRT enables extremely short, predictable reaction times, even faster, deterministic data exchange with IO-devices as well as a robust, reliable communication of the process data - also with very high non-realtime data traffic.
The fail-safe version IM151-8F PN/DP F-CPU is based on the S7-300 CPU 314. Fail-safe as well as standard IO modules can be used. The communication between CPU and fail-safe modules is done via PROFIsafe.

SIMATIC ET 200S is the distributed I/O station that guarantees lasting
savings in life-cycle costs with the highest flexibility. Installation
couldn't be easier and the bit-modular design of the ET 200S enables
multifunctional use of the station.
SIMATIC ET 200S can now communicate over PROFINET as well as over PROFIBUS,
giving the proven and field-tested I/O station all the advantages of Ethernet
communication.
Modules for the ET 200S include power modules, digital or analog input
and output modules, technology modules as well as motor starters and frequency
converter. The ET 200S is also equipped for fail-safe signal modules,
motor starters and frequency converter, which makes it possible to perform
variable-speed drive tasks for up to 4 kW power.
The new interface module IM 151-3 PN FO with integrated POF interfaces
makes use of the proven SC RJ cabling system and allows linking up the
product family SIMATIC ET 200S to an optical PROFINET network. Standard
modules as well as - for the first time - failsafe PROFIsafe modules can
now be operated with an ET 200 with direct optical fiber connection.
Terminal modules with FastConnect technology that needs no stripping
of cables help minimize rewiring time.
Your benefits:
- Especially high savings in wiring (up to 80%) thanks to integrated
technologies
- Significant space savings in the control cabinet (up to 50%) thanks
to compact design
- Huge increases in availability thanks to "fixed wiring"
- Bit-modular design: up to 64 modules per station
- Powerful, self-buildup 40-A energy bus
- For every effort the right solution:
BASIC, STANDARD, High Feature, Failsafe and COMPACT
- Failsafe modules for safety applications (Safety Integrated)
- Certified for Ex-zone 25
- PROFINET-interface
- Frequency converter up to 4kW
The new IM 151-1 COMPACT interface module can be used as block I/O or
as a finely modular I/O station. It comprises a terminal module and an
electronic module. The block contains 32 channels and can be expanded
with fine modularity to a up to 80 channels (analog and digital mixed)
or with a maximum of 12 modules.
The module range of the field-proven ET 200S - with the exception of the
failsafe modules - is available for finely modular expansion.
|
The ET 200S COMPACT is available in two versions:
- Purely digital input module 32DI
- Digital mixed module 16DI/16D

Overview of module spectrum
Motor starters for all applications up to Category 4:
These fully pre-wired units can even be replaced during operation and
under power. You can choose between the standard motor starter (up to
5.5 kW) and the high feature motor starter (up to 7.5 kW).
Safety with ET 200S SIGUARD:
This allows a range of motor starters to be combined individually to form a safety group. Siemens offers an integrated
safety chain through integration into the "Safety Integrated" safety concept.
Distributed intelligence:
The integral CPU with the functionalities of the S7-300 enables advance startup, enhanced availability, and modular
machine design.
IQ Sense sensor modules:
These enable particularly simple integration of the sensors and also offer
diagnostics functions and fast replacement.
Technology modules extend the possible applications:
Technology modules are intelligent modules that operate independently
of the CPU and carry out the technological task largely autonomously.
Parameterization of the modules is supported with STEP 7.
