The intelligent controller architecture with integral 3-port switch increases the system performance of the PCs and allows you to establish linear bus and tree topologies flexibly. The three PROFINET ports allow the connection of distributed I/O and drives or, alternatively, additional standard Windows devices.

New Bus Module for SIMATIC Box PC 827B
A new bus module is now available for the SIMATIC Box
PC 827B. It enables the Box PC to accommodate 2x PCI and 3x PCIe x4 expansion
cards. The previous option with 4x PCI and 1x PCIe x4 is also still available.
The fast PCIe x4 slots provide a high data throughput of 1000 MB/s for data-intensive
applications such as framegrabber cards. The bus module can be selected as an
option in the PC configurator.

Portrait Assembly Front Kit for SIMATIC Microbox PC
427B
The new portrait assembly kit facilitates installation
of the Microbox PC in the control cabinet using the smallest side, thus saving
on valuable installation space. When using this kit, the PC interfaces are easily
accessible on the front side of the installed Microbox PC. A dimensioned drawing
for planning inclusion of the Microbox PC in plants as well as notes on the mechanical
and thermal characteristics can be found in the Service&Support section.

The revised SIMATIC PC brochure is now also available
in French, Spanish and Italian in addition to German and English. As well as
containing all the SIMATIC PCs it also includes the new PROFINET onboard option
as well as the new Flat Panel Pro in the IP 65 degree of protection.

The 2 GB FlashDrive is particularly suitable for industrial
applications. The highest levels of data security and performance can be achieved
thanks to the single level cell technology. The rugged metal housing ensures
CE requirements for industrial-standard electromagnetic compatability are fulfilled.
It can be used for transporting data and is the ideal boot medium for the SIMATIC
PC BIOS-Manager and Image & Partition Creator programs, for example.
