The SIMATIC WinCC visualization system has received significant functional expansion in the latest Version 7.0. The fully scalable visualization system now offers operation according to Windows Vista, simple language switching, powerful analytical functions and an integrated Microsoft SQL server archive database. In the standard packages the number of power tags has been doubled from 256 to 512 and from 1024 to 2048.

Distributed Operator Control by SIMATIC WinCC with SIMATIC Thin Clients

A production plant should be equipped with five distributed operator terminals. All data should be stored centrally on one server. The operator terminals are located at different locations in the production plant, even in rough environments. This example shows how SIMATIC Thin Clients can be used in combination with WinCC.
